Machining of lots of small parts for the second TPV-EGLI-Vincent at JD-Metalltechnik. The CNC Portalmill with Siemens Sinumeric Control is capable to machine Aluminium Alloy in 2D and 3D up to 15mm thickness. Milling of a primary drive spacer to offset the cover for Belt Drive application. New Engine plates with new design footrest assy. Milling a serie of shift/brake levers. Thaknks a lot to the JD-Metalltechnik Team for free use of the mill and the great support. More Parts and Components ready for the second bike. A brief report at the end of 2014: For a few weeks, the TPV EGLI-Vincent is disassembled into its components. Important data of the engine such as compression ratio, valve lift curves etc. are recorded and used as a basis for performance-enhancing measures. Dozens of hand-crafted small parts and components, such as footpegs or shift mechanism, are revised for future CNC production on the computer. A second bike will be assembled for development purpose, primarily the design of the bodywork. The progresses will be presented at the Swiss-Moto in Zurich in the end of February. The first Roll-Out of the TPV-EGLI-Vincent was a great event. After 2 hours runtime without any technical problems, one can say that it passed successfully. The chassis is very agile, stable and accurate. This was advantageous for passing  slower riders “off the line”. Also the striking bump in the apex of the “bridge curve” has been absorbed without problems. The TPV-EGLI-Vincent has the potential, no doubt, to cope with a tuned racing engine, and thus the current superbikes to teach the fear. In the last weeks, i was busy to fit a temporary bodywork and to build an Aluminium Fuel Tank. The inner sheets with brackets can be designed, using an 1:1 printout as a template. Step by step, the outer sheets must be formed and brought in shape. Inlet-, outlet- and breatherinserts have to be machined and inserted. After spotwelding all together, a professional welder will finish the job.
